Privacy policy
Last updated and effective: 4 November 2026
Boogie Square is operated by Boogie Box Limited, Glasgow, United Kingdom. This notice explains how we handle information when you use our services.
Our services include Boogie Square at events and weddings, team building sessions and branded audience experiences, as well as this website. For questions, privacy requests or withdrawal of permission, contact boogieboxlimited@gmail.com.
1. Your recordings
Whether you are a wedding guest, part of a team or a member of an audience, your camera is used only when you choose to record. You decide whether to take part, and you can stop at any time.
Depending on the service, your Boogie Square may be combined with others into one collective video for the event, team or campaign. We will tell you how your recording will be used before you take part. If you save or share a video with another app, that app’s privacy policy applies.
2. Information we collect
- Recordings: the short videos you choose to make as part of a Boogie Square experience.
- Permission choices: where we ask, your email address and the permissions you give or decline, with the time they were recorded.
- Enquiries and bookings: details you send us through our website or by email, such as your name, email, company, event date, location and message.
- Usage information: anonymous activity such as page visits and experience starts, used to understand how our services are used.
Our website and hosting providers may also process technical information, such as IP addresses, browser details and error logs, to deliver and protect the service.
3. Why we use information
We use information to deliver our experiences, create collective videos, respond to enquiries, organise bookings and improve our services. We rely on legitimate interests for running and securing our services, on contract where processing is needed to provide an agreed service, on consent where we ask for it, and on legal obligations where applicable.
Using your video for promotion or marketing, by us or by an event client or brand, always requires your separate, optional permission.
4. Events, teams and brands we work with
When we run Boogie Square for a couple, a company or a brand, the finished collective video is shared with that client. Where a brand or organisation will receive your video or marketing choices, we will identify them before you choose.
Our services are not intended to collect children’s personal information without the involvement of a parent, guardian or event organiser. If you believe a child’s information has been submitted, please contact us.
5. Who can access information
Information is accessible only to Boogie Box Limited, the client of the relevant event or campaign where appropriate, and trusted service providers who help us host, store and deliver our services. We do not sell your personal information. Information may be disclosed where required by law.
Service providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards, such as UK-approved contractual protections or adequacy arrangements.
6. How long information is kept
We keep recordings and permission records only as long as needed for the event, team session or campaign they relate to, and no longer than agreed with the client. Enquiry and booking information is kept as long as needed to handle your request and any business or legal obligations. Anonymous totals may be kept for reporting. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
7. Withdraw permission or contact us
Email boogieboxlimited@gmail.com with the event or service you took part in and what you would like us to do. You may withdraw any permission separately or ask us to delete all associated information.
Withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before. We may need to verify your identity. We cannot remove copies that others have independently shared, but will explain what action we can take for material under our control.
8. Your privacy rights
Under applicable data-protection law, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and receive portable information where that right applies. You can also withdraw consent at any time. We normally respond within one month.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would welcome the chance to address your concern first.
9. Browser storage and security
Our website and experiences may use browser storage to remember settings and keep you signed in where relevant. We use access controls to protect the information we hold, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this notice
We will update this page and its date when our practices change. Material changes will be explained before they take effect, and new permission will be requested where necessary.
